The lubricated rotary screw compressor utilizes rotors (helical screws) to compress the air. As the rotors start rotating, air enters from one side and gets confined between the rotors and the casing. Since the rotors continuously rotate, the air gets compressed and is released at the other end, while fresh air is drawn in.

This type of electric compressor is designed to operate 24/7, 365 days a year, providing continuous compressed air. It has a much higher duty cycle compared to piston compressors.
